Test method of an anode’s ability to perform for a number of years. Conducted at high current density to accumulate sufficient charge. For catalyzed titanium anodes in underground/underwater environments
Or
This test method is intended to provide an indication of an anode’s ability to perform satisfactorily for a specific number of years. Because such anodes can fail with little or no weight loss, lifetime expectation cannot be extrapolated from operation at normal operating current density, and testing must be conducted at high current density until an acceptable amount of charge has been accumulated. This standard is applicable for catalyzed titanium anodes intended for use in underground or underwater environments, and it is intended for use by consultants, suppliers, and end users of catalyzed titanium CP anodes.
Aboveground evaluation of the coating condition of underground metallic pipelines. Includes surveys of alternating current (AC) attenuation, direct current (DC), AC-voltage gradient, and the Pearson survey.
