Controlling corrosion of proposed atmospherically exposed reinforced concrete structures. Causes of and control methods for the corrosion of reinforcing steel in Portland cement concrete structures. Historical Document 1990
This NACE standard is a recommended practice prepared by NACE Task Group T-3K-5 of Unit Committee T-3K on Corrosion and Other Deterioration Phenomena Associated With Concrete. It is published by NACE under the auspices of Group Committee T-3 on Corrosion Science and Technology. This standard was reaffirmed with editorialchanges in September 1990. The purpose of this recommended practice is to give architect-engineers and facility owners design considerations for controlling corrosion of proposed atmospherically exposed reinforced concrete structures. These considerations include guidelines that will provide the architect-engineer with information about the causes of and control methods for the corrosion of reinforcing steel in Portland cement concrete structures.
