Process industries such as oil, gas and petrochemical plants have critical process equipment operating at high
temperatures. These equipment require periodic comprehensive integrity assessments for safe and reliable
operation. Conventional NDT techniques such as manual ultrasonic are not only slow and subjective, but also often
unsuccessful beyond 300°F (150°C). There have been tremendous efforts in the industry to develop suitable new
technologies for high temperature application. Hence, comprehensive monitoring of large size equipment operating
at higher temperatures has remained a challenging task for decades.
