In this paper, chemical reaction engineering models that incorporate mass transfer and kinetics are used to analyze corrosion inhibitor performance in different apparatus in the laboratory and field. The different models will be compared with the view of developing a set of transferable parameters that are apparatus independent. Equations that govern both adsorption of inhibitor to the surface with the build up of a porous corrosion product layer are developed.
