This paper identifies and documents examples of the successful use of vapor corrosion inhibitors (VCI's) in the field for the corrosion protection of electronics and electrical systems. Significant study and analysis of VCI's has been ongoing in laboratories the world over. They are proven to be an effective form of protection analytically. The proof with current usage in the field in various forms of industry is significant. The advantages are clearly shown by military, electronics companies, utilities companies as well as many others. Key Words: corrosion, vapor corrosion inhibitors, preservation, mothballing, emitters, VCI, electronic and electrical protection, vapor phase inhibitors, volatile phase inhibitors, atmospheric corrosion, circuit protection, electrical continuity
