NACE (now AMPP) is involved in corrosion prevention and control in every industry. At the time that NACE was established, however, the organization was focused on the field of cathodic protection (CP) for pipelines. It has since expanded its focus to other corrosion problems.

In commemoration of NACE International’s 75th anniversary, the NACE Past Presidents Council (PPC)  released The History of NACE International—The Worldwide Corrosion Authority, 1943-2018, 75 Years of Progress. This history was developed by researching about 35,000 pages of Board agendas, minutes, and attachments; and more than 1,000 issues of CORROSION and Materials Performance. maintaining CP systems.

This book provides a history of what is now the world’s largest technical society dedicated to the mitigation and control of corrosion.
