This paper discusses current and expected EPA and OSHA regulatory rulemaking, emphasis programs, enforcement initiatives or other similar topics. This paper will include a discussion of OSHA’s final rule on silica issued in April 2016, proposed rules from OSHA or EPA as applicable and other proposed or revised regulations related to the coatings industry. Most of the information is taken directly from the respective agency’s published regulatory agenda, supplemented by anecdotal information gathered from various professional journals, seminars, and conferences.
