This paper presents application experience of the controlled, unmanned system and technologies that allowed predicting of corrosion conditions and other possible damage to underground pipelines. The development technologies provide the means to evaluate the pipeline for general and pitting corrosion, stress corrosion and cracking, the condition of any coatings and curvatures of the pipeline. This significantly reduces the risks of accidents and provides recommendations on carrying out maintenance work on the most weakened sections of pipeline. Results of the developed technology application for diagnostic aboveground, underground and underwater pipelines are presented.

Key words: pipeline, natural environment, atmosphere, soil, water, oil gas, corrosion, fire, explosion, contamination, diagnostic
