The onshore division has recently completed a five-year program to eliminate overboard discharges of produced water in its inland water and bay operations in South Louisiana. Although the previously permitted overboard practice required certain levels of water quality, the initiation of underground injection requires new and different water quality parameters. Reliable, efficient, cost-effective field disposal operations are critical from the production/revenue and cost-control viewpoints for the success and economic viability of our producing operations.
