Effect of single-phase flow velocity on corrosion. Mass transfer, differential mass transfer & hydrodynamic shear. For engineers and technicians in laboratory corrosion testing. Experiment design. Protocol. Correlation. Feasibility.
This compilation of experimental techniques is intended to provide the most up-to-date information available on evaluating the effect of velocity on corrosion. This report is limited to the effects of single-phase flow and encompasses the effects of mass transfer, hydrodynamic shear, and differential mass transfer. The critical issues for experimental design are the appropriate choice of the test protocol, the identification of the appropriate way to correlate the bench-top results to the full-scale system, and the identification of experimental systems for which such correlation is feasible. Test design considerations are discussed for a number of experimental systems. This report is intended as an aid to engineers and technicians involved in laboratory corrosion testing.
Basic thick-film polyurethane coatings technology. Starting point for the engineer, owner, contractor, or end user for understanding the components of thick-film polyurethanes and how they are described.
