UNS S32003 alloy is a recently developed nitrogen enhanced Lean Duplex Stainless Steel (LDSS). This
alloy was developed to be used in the environments where high strength and good corrosion properties are
required. Its composition (nominally 21%Cr, 1.8%Mo, 0.17%N and 3% Ni, balance Fe) provides this alloy
with outstanding resistance to a broad range of corrosive environments. The corrosion properties of S32003
LDSS alloy in different environments were studied and the results are summarized in this paper. The
corrosion properties of S32003 alloy are also compared to Types 316L and 304L.
