Laboratory and field trials have demonstrated the successful use of concentrated corrosion inhibitors for chemical treatments. The concentrated applications are most useful in remote areas such as the jungle when performance is also related to handling, distribution, and cost reduction. These products are the concentrates of treating chemicals typically prepared as 25% to 50% dilutions in solvents. The concentrated products are used in the same injection points as the less active corrosion inhibitors and demulsifiers. Currently, the concentrated field applications are on location in 80% of the chemical treatment points. The corrosion inhibitors are injected at lower treatment concentrations as the regular products with no loss of performance.
