The use of composite laminates as protective barriers on concrete surfaces has increased over the past few years. One of the recent applications is in the rehabilitation of concrete structures which have suffered corrosion damage. An actual system has recently been installed in Texas. A laboratory test program has been developed to simulate components of that system. Some of the variables being studied include
specimen shape, flexural cracks, repair materials, length of wrap, resin selection, and concrete surface condition. Some of the features of the laboratory test program will be described.
