A new high pressure and temperature submerged impinging jet device is described. The experimental results of its flow characteristics are summarized. Local mass transfers on a Teflon disc normal to the jet with eight 1-mm diameter microelectrodes located at 0 < x/r < 3.8, where x is the distance from the stagnation point on the disc and r is the jet nozzle radius, were measured using the limiting current of potassium ferricyanide solution for 50 <= Reynolds number (Re) <= 4500 at a jet nozzle exit to disc height, H, to r ratio of 10.
