A computer based system which enables corrosion engineers to monitor the integrity of pipeline by making readily available to them information required to conduct a comprehensive corrosion analysis and to provide a traceable and auditable means of managing the integrity of such facilities. A key aspect of the system is to store the fixed or design data items (wall thickness, diameter and design code) for all types of equipment. Instead of a single record card containing every possible equipment, a flexible approach allows the user to define only what he wants for a specified equipment type. There is no limit to the range of equipment that can be stored; any equipment used in Oil and Gas Company from the reservoir to the point of sale may be stored”. Currently, The software can store all data on cathodic protection, ultrasonic inspection, routine pigging inspection, intelligent pig inspections, inhibitor injection, chemical and process data.
